Volunteer Opportunities in Sevier County:
The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge
Dates Vary; 8:00 am. The owners of The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge give the coins from their fountain to the United Way. They need volunteers to help remove the coins from the fountain. They remove the coins once a week, beginning at 8:00 am. It takes about an hour, and involves using a wet vac, as well as manually removing coins from crevices, etc. Volunteers will need to wear old tennis shoes or rain boots. The Old Mill/United Way will provide gloves. There is room for three volunteers in the fountain at a time. Dates are flexible. Sevier County Public Library
The Sevier County Public Library’s branches (King Family branch, Kodak branch, Seymour branch) have various volunteer opportunities available. Volunteers are needed to shelve books, assist with various children’s, teen, and adult programs, to clip and archive publicity articles and accolades, and clip coupons for US Troops.
